MEDICAL SUPPORT
Response vehicles and ambulances:

The following emergency medical services are foreseen to be part of NTG 2018:

Nelson Mandela University: Faculty of Health Sciences: At the meeting with Andrea Waters on 1st February she indicated that their emergency vehicle and ambulance (with support of students) can assist at the following venues:

08:00-09:15 – Cycling

08:00-09:00 – Road race
-
11:00-13:00 – Squash & table tennis
-
14:00-15:30 – Tennis
-
Saturday at athletics
-
Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality: The Municipality indicated that they can supply us with the services of their emergency medical personnel. This will be part of the sponsorship in kind.
They can be involved in the following:

09:00-11:00 – Swimming
-
14:00-15:30 – Badminton

Event Support Services (ESS Medical): If the Municipality can’t provide the above services, Krish Williamson of the Sports Centre recommended ESS as a quality company for sports events.
Zanempilo Mobile Health Unit:

NMU Faculty of Health Sciences offered the services of this mobile unit, together with personnel and students to be available during Saturday 14th July at the athletic stadium. This will give participants and supporters the opportunity to have their blood pressure taken, monitor blood sugar levels and much more.
This will also be the base for their emergency vehicle and ambulance personnel.
